With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next to nothing start in 1930s New York City.  Annie is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan.  

Shrek the musical is based on the 2001 Dreamworks film "Shrek" and William Steig's 1990 book.  This hilarious and heartwarming tale follows Shrek, a grumpy green Ogre, who lives a solitary life in his swamp.  His peaceful existence is disrupted when a group of fairytale creatures, banished by the diminutive Lord Farquaad, invade his home seeking refuge.  To reclaim his swamp Shrek  strikes a deal with Farquaad; he must rescue Princess Fiona, who is imprisoned in a tower guarded by a dragon.  Along the way he gains unexpected friendships and acceptance.
